Who we are
Favoratti.com LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Cupidoodle at cupidoodle.com and related services, including our Instagram experience (@com.cupidoodle) and our Facebook page.
Cupidoodle helps couples create personalized illustrated storybooks and couple-scene images from their photos and stories. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.
By using our website or Instagram messaging experience, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
What we offer
This policy covers all Cupidoodle features, including:
- Life Book — upload photos, chat with our AI to gather your love story, preview illustrated pages, save progress in My Books (optionally via Google or Facebook login), purchase a PDF, share a private web link to your book, and optionally order a printed paperback.
- Couple Scenes (website) — upload photos, pick a destination, receive a preview, and optionally enter an email to receive the full-resolution image.
- Couple Scenes (Instagram DMs) — send photos and messages to our Instagram account to receive a free illustrated couple scene in chat.
- Marketing pages — browse gift landing pages, sign up for our newsletter, and interact with promotional content.
- Payments — checkout for Life Book PDF purchases and optional print add-ons through Stripe.
Information we collect
The data we collect depends on which features you use.
Photos and images
When you create a Life Book, Couple Scene, or Instagram couple scene, you upload one or more photos (typically JPEG or PNG). We use these photos to analyze appearance traits and generate illustrated characters and scenes. Uploaded photos may be stored temporarily on our servers while your session is active or while we generate and deliver your content.
Story and conversation content
For Life Books, you provide personal story details through a chat interface — for example, names, how you met, favorite memories, impressions, shared activities, and other relationship details you choose to share. We store this content to build your book outline and illustrated pages.
For Instagram DMs, we receive the messages you send us, including text, quick-reply selections, location choices, and any images you attach.
Email address
We collect email addresses when you:
- Request delivery of a full-resolution Couple Scene image on our website.
- Subscribe to our newsletter on the marketing landing page.
- Purchase a Life Book (required at checkout to deliver the PDF, interactive book link, QR code, receipt, and any print order/shipping updates; separate from newsletter consent).
- Complete a Stripe checkout (Stripe may collect your email as part of payment processing).
- Create or sign in to an account via Google or Facebook login (when the provider shares an email).
- Contact us directly by email.
Account and login information
You can browse and create a Life Book with an anonymous continuity cookie on your browser. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive a provider user identifier and, when available, your display name, profile photo URL, and email. We use this to keep your books in My Books across devices and to merge an anonymous browser library into your signed-in account when you log in on that browser.
Print shipping information
When you order a printed paperback, we collect the shipping name, address, phone number, and email you enter at checkout. We share fulfillment details with our print partner (Lulu) so they can print and ship your book, and we store order status and tracking information returned by Lulu.
Payment information
Life Book purchases are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers. Stripe collects and processes payment details according to its own privacy policy. We receive confirmation of payment, transaction identifiers, and related metadata needed to fulfill your order.
Instagram profile information
When you message us on Instagram, Meta sends us webhook events that may include your Instagram scoped user ID (IGSID), message content, and attachment metadata. We may also retrieve your public Instagram display name and username through Meta’s Graph API to personalize the conversation.
Location and place search
When you search for a destination in Couple Scenes, your search query is sent to third-party geocoding services (such as Photon by Komoot) to suggest places. We store the location you select (for example, a landmark name and coordinates) to generate your scene.
Session and device data
To operate the service, we also process:
- Book and session identifiers so we can keep your story, pages, and purchases together.
- Essential httpOnly cookies:
cupidoodle_uid(anonymous continuity / library owner on this browser) and, after you sign in,cupidoodle_sid(signed login session). These are required for My Books and resume; they are not advertising cookies. - A short-lived
cupidoodle_oauth_statecookie during Google/Facebook sign-in (CSRF protection). - Browser localStorage entries on your device (for example, session ID, chat history, book state, and cookie consent preference).
- Browser sessionStorage entries for short-lived UI state (for example, Instagram-to-website handoff data).
- Your IP address for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and server logs.
- Standard web server logs (timestamps, requested URLs, browser type, referrer).
Analytics and marketing data
If you accept cookies, we and our analytics/advertising partners collect usage and conversion data as described in the Cookies and tracking section below.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate illustrated characters, couple scenes, and storybook pages from your photos and inputs.
- Run AI-powered chat experiences that gather story details and guide you through creation flows.
- Save and resume your Life Book (including My Books) and, when you sign in, sync that library across devices.
- Host a private shareable web page for a purchased book (unique link, PDF download, and QR code) when sharing is enabled.
- Deliver full-resolution Couple Scene images to the email address you provide.
- Process payments and email purchased Life Book PDFs, interactive book links, QR codes, and receipts.
- Fulfill printed paperback orders through our print partner and send transactional order/shipping updates to the email you provide at checkout.

- Maintain newsletter subscriber lists when you opt in.
- Improve, secure, and troubleshoot our services (including rate limiting and fraud prevention).
- Measure marketing performance and ad conversions when you have consented to cookies.

Your photos are used to generate your illustration and related content. We do not sell your photos or personal story content to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
AI processing
Cupidoodle uses artificial intelligence to analyze photos, conduct conversations, write story text, and generate images. Depending on configuration and feature, your photos and text may be sent to third-party AI providers, including:
- OpenAI — conversational agents, structured analysis, and image generation/editing.
- Google (Gemini) — image generation and, in some configurations, vision analysis.
- Black Forest Labs (Flux) — image generation.
- Stability AI — image generation.
Photo analysis may produce structured descriptions (for example, estimated age range, apparent gender, clothing, and facial or body features) used solely to create consistent illustrated characters. Story and scenario agents process the personal details you provide to draft pages and prompts.
These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the service. Their handling of data is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Third-party services we use
We rely on trusted service providers to operate Cupidoodle. They may receive data needed to perform their function:
- Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy).
- Lulu — print-on-demand fulfillment for paperback Life Books (shipping address, phone, and print files). Status and tracking updates may be received via Lulu webhooks (Lulu Privacy Policy).
- Resend — transactional email delivery (couple-scene pictures, purchase receipts, book delivery notices, print order/shipping updates) and newsletter contact storage when you opt in (Resend Privacy Policy). Print and purchase emails are transactional and separate from newsletter consent.
- Google — optional account sign-in (OAuth); also Google Analytics, Google Ads, and GA4 Measurement Protocol for analytics/advertising when you consent (Google Privacy Policy).
- Meta (Facebook / Instagram) — optional Facebook account sign-in (OAuth); Instagram Messaging webhooks, Graph API profile lookup; Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API for advertising measurement when you consent.
- TikTok — TikTok Pixel for advertising measurement.
- Hotjar — session recordings and behavior analytics.
- Photon (Komoot) — worldwide place autocomplete for Couple Scenes.
- AI providers — listed in the AI processing section above.
We share only the data reasonably necessary for each provider to perform its role. We do not authorize these providers to use your personal content for their own unrelated purposes.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to understand site usage and measure advertising. Non-essential tracking loads only if you click Accept all on our cookie banner.
Analytics
- Google Analytics (GA4) — page views, events, and funnel statistics.
- Hotjar — heatmaps, session recordings, and behavior analysis.
Marketing and advertising
- Meta Pixel — Facebook and Instagram ad measurement and retargeting.
- Meta Conversions API — server-side purchase events (may include a hashed email when available from checkout).
- TikTok Pixel — TikTok ad measurement.
- Google Ads — search and display ad conversion tracking.
- GA4 Measurement Protocol — server-side purchase events sent from our backend after Stripe confirms payment.
Essential storage (always active)
Even if you decline marketing/analytics cookies, we still use strictly necessary browser storage so
the site can function — for example, remembering your cookie choice, keeping your book session ID,
preserving in-progress chat or book state on your device, and the essential
cupidoodle_uid / cupidoodle_sid cookies described above for continuity and
optional sign-in.
Your cookie choices
When you first visit our site, you can choose:
- Accept all — allow analytics and marketing cookies/pixels described above.
- Decline — block non-essential analytics and marketing scripts; essential storage still applies.
You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may prevent you from resuming an in-progress book on the same device.
To reset your cookie choice locally, clear site data for cupidoodle.com in your browser or remove
the cupidoodle_cookie_consent entry from localStorage.
How long we keep information
Retention periods vary by data type:
- Active in-progress Life Book work — live editor/chat sessions may be held in server memory while you are connected or recently active; inactive in-memory sessions are removed after approximately 48 hours. Completed or saved books, pages, and chat history are stored in our database so you can reopen them from My Books (and across devices after you sign in).
- Account and login records — retained while your account has books or until you ask us to delete your account data.
- Shared book links — a purchased book may remain reachable via its private share URL while sharing stays enabled for that book.
- Instagram DM sessions — held in server memory for the duration of your conversation flow; stale sessions and associated temporary photo files are deleted after approximately one hour of inactivity.
- Temporary photo uploads (Couple Scenes) — abandoned early uploads are deleted after approximately 30 minutes.
- Couple Scene email leads — your email and associated scene metadata are stored so we can deliver (and, if needed, retry delivery of) full-resolution images.
- Newsletter subscribers — retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove your address.
- Generated illustrations — stored as needed to serve previews, fulfill email delivery, complete your book, or fulfill print orders; not kept longer than necessary for those purposes.
- Print orders — shipping and fulfillment records retained as needed to complete delivery, handle support, and meet accounting requirements.
- Payment records — transaction metadata retained as required for accounting, tax, and dispute resolution.
- Server and security logs — retained for a limited period for troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
Closing your browser without signing in may make it harder to resume work on another device. Sign in (Google or Facebook) if you want My Books available across browsers. Incomplete work that was never saved may still be lost when an in-memory session expires.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information — including HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls, and rate limiting to reduce abuse. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Please upload only photos you have the right to share. Avoid sending sensitive government ID numbers, financial account details, or information you do not want processed by AI systems.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal and operational requirements.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent for non-essential cookies (via our banner or browser settings).
- Opt out of marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link when available, or contact us).
To exercise these rights, email danilo@favoratti.com with enough detail for us to locate your request (for example, the email you used at checkout or for a Couple Scene, your My Books login email, a book or session ID, or the approximate date of your purchase). We will respond within a reasonable timeframe as required by applicable law.
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International data transfers
Favoratti.com LLC is based in the United States. If you access Cupidoodle from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have different data-protection laws than your own.
Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses offered by service providers) for cross-border transfers.
Children’s privacy
Cupidoodle is designed for adults creating gifts about their relationships. Our services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new features, legal requirements, or business practices. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Cupidoodle after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
